Linda Murphy is a Health Sciences Librarian with a subspecialty in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). She spent 13 years working at the UC Irvine Grunigen Medical Center Library in Orange CA, and one year with the Meta-Analysis Unit of the UCI Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine conducting systematic reviews in evidence based CAM. She has been with the Science Library Reference Department and member of the Medical Education Team since July 2002. She has planned, developed, and implemented various workshops and seminars to enhance UCI faculty, residents, students, and staff skills in information literacy and competency and in the area of EBM. She has co-presented various CME workshops locally and nationally with clinicians. She has authored and co-authored numerous of research papers in these areas. Outside her job, Linda enjoys reading, taking walks and practicing yoga several times a week.
