Evidence Based Dentistry Tutorial I would share with you all a tutorial I developed to teach basic concepts to our 1st year dental students as part of a Spring semester course they take called Information Management for Clinical Practice. My goal in this session is to make sure they know what Evidence Based Dentistry means, know what systematic reviews are and how to find them using the Cochrane Library and PubMed Clinical Queries, know about the current awareness opportunity offered by the two core evidence based dentistry journals, and know how to set up a ToC email alert to those journals. Students are asked to read the tutorial before class. We have a short discussion and then they spend time in class (so I can answer questions) working on an online assignment that provides hands-on exploration of the concepts and tools presented in the tutorial.
